During 2020, the Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs project continues to develop its work in Aych Ocean in collaboration with the Cรญes Islands Volunteer Camp. An environmental conservation project in the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
Due to the Covid-19 this year, the young people who can access are fewer but have the same desire to collaborate in the development of prototypes and ideas for a better development of life in this natural space.
These young people have created three very specific prototypes to help life in a natural space:
– The creation of a network to help eradicate eucalyptus on the island in such a way that the seeds do not fall to the ground and spread.
– An educational program to bring natural spaces closer to schools, for adolescents from 14 to 17 years old.
– A game-app to learn about life in a protected natural space.
The Aych Ocean project aims to draw attention to the 2030 agenda and the future of society by fighting for the eradication of the use of plastic as well as environmental awareness.
The project is completed with the collection of garbage on the beach and its characterization.
