Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs (AYCH) is a project built for integrating best practice and knowledge, supporting young talents and their education, entrepreneurship and employability through the development of creative and technological skills.
It is co-financed by ERDF under INTERREG Atlantic Area.
The project aims at developing an innovative model to reinforce the entrepreneurship of young people, schooled or looking for a job, by targeting the attractive field of the creative industries. Within multidisciplinary workspaces (the Hubs), it must allow the meeting between youngsters from different horizons and the agents that facilitate entrepreneurship (coworking spaces, support structures), support young people (integration, orientation or training structures) and creation (fablabs and other third places, professionals in the targeted industries).
Based in particular on the development of activities typical of start-ups and the new economy (hackathons, start-up weekends, incubation and acceleration devices …), it will help long-term participants to raise their awareness of entrepreneurship, to make their projects emerge, to accompany some of them to the establishment of activity and to direct others to trainings, internships or jobs.
Atlantic Youth Creative Hubs implements a strong system of transnational cooperation in 4ple helix which allows:
– The cross-fertilization of the expertise of networks of both prescribers and experts in the construction of the access to entrepreneurship offer for young people.
– openness to the world for young people taking part in the project (online and videoconferencing exchanges with young people from other countries who have a different approach to entrepreneurship – Anglo-Saxon countries in particular – and for a part of them, participation in events abroad)
-The collaboration between actors who did not know each other (University, Fablabs, Local Mission, Start-ups French Tech, creative industries companies)
-The collective work of young people who otherwise would not meet each other (public mission, students, high school students)
-“start-up » methods to audiences for those not used to practice them (methods of brainstorming / creativity, project and business plan editing, communication and « pitch » …)
